Forums - Gaming - Wht is more important in a game for you- Music or Graphics?

I don't know if I would have enjoyed ODST as much if it didn't have the good soundtrack... however for me it's graphics. as long as the dialogue is there, I don't care too much about the sound. games are what's happening on the screen and your response too it. music is just a nice addition.

p.s. unless it's a sand box game like GTA, Saints Row 2, etc where you're driving a lot. than yes music is very important to keep me entertained haha)

I can't say both, right?

so I guess music, but I hate bad graphics

Music but a mixture of both can do wonders, example Final Fantasy XIII, Mass Effect 2 & God Of War 3 recently

Music tells the story better than dialog.

imagine now playing a gripping climatic moment with " yello - oh yeah " music.

and imagine a character talking about normal stuff while stuff like this plays

also imagine playing silent hill with no music

now imagine there is no heaven.... its easy if you try....

So does this mean that many people here would refuse to play an SNES game because of the graphics?

Music wins this by a long shot.

Great music lives on longer than graphics.

Again, who cares if music lives longer, as long as graphics evolve and gets better each gen. 99% of the games I  played are at night with very little sounds.

I care and so do many others. Not all of use play in the dark with the volume down.

thus it's simply an opinion. I think music is very important to some games just like graphics is important to some games, but in the end gameplay is the only factor that's needed in every game.

I can agree with that.

I was a bit thrown off with the whole "Again" thing since I can't recall you mentioning it to me.
