Well buffy was actually a success that went on for seven seasons, I think this is more about the shows that didn't make it.

Why do people like Joss Whedon so much? Did anyone actually read his 'X-men', good lord it was awful. Although apparently, even I am in a minority in the X-men fans eyes about that. They love Joss Whedon and just ignored the drool he was forming into letters on a page.
