If Sony or MS have the balls to release their real numbers, not phoney baloney percentages, I'm sure Ioi would be happy to adjust.

Other numbers are spot on, was just the Nintendo stuff (TRU, Walmart - massive sales) that have been misjudged.

But not for the Wii?

Its interesting that you overestimated the Wii while underestimating the DS. You think they would have very similar demographics.

Edit: The 'not' was refering to the massive sales, not the misjudging.

I think you only screwed up for DS ioi. Wii seems pretty close.

Poor PS3 Sales Means Smaller Losses

"Actually, because the number of units sold was not as high as we hoped, the loss was better than our original expectation," Quotes from Sony’s CFO Nobuyuki Oneda.

As mentioned in the other thread, the two week average for the Wii was spot on. Retailers may have held some supply for BF.

The demographics for the DS and Wii may be the same, but the availability is vastly different.

Needless to say, the number of different sales and the like make extrapolation across different chains very difficult this time of year. I wouldn't be surprised if the other systems were off as well.

Amazing. The Wii figure is still pretty close - but that DS figure...

What will the DS do in Japan this week? 100k? 150k?

1.2m in 2 regions, in 1 week for the DS...crazy!

Well ioi there was no reason to do any updating to Wii sales. I mean if you added Canada sales into the current Wii numbers it'd equal the same thing, just different proportions over the 2 weeks. Now we may have Wii's sales right for last week but the week before that we are well undertracking it. Grr.

DS this week should finish with sales higher than all three of the home conoles combined, which is incredible.

No problem ioi can adjust at the end of the quarter when Ninty puts out its information
