It's a great idea to snag the one sentence that could incite people here, nice work OP.

OT: Looks cool, but god am I sick of post-apocalyptic settings.

On the flipside though, id said they were initially struggling with the system. So it's at least good to hear that they were able to improve there.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're getting some balance and it'll be as good as possible on both systems, but to pick that particular sentence out of a 2 page article seems awfully convenient, maybe searching for some VG$'s?

Possible, but there were a few threads here about how the PS3 version wasn't running smoothly. If I created this thread that would be a part I would highlight amongst others.

So what you're saying is that I may be overreacting? Shocking! That never happens!

I did miss the stuff about the PS3 version running less smoothly, well that is good news then. I want a great id game, the last one I loved was probably,  hmmm. . . Hexen?

Made by Raven. Only published by id. Heretic and Hexen were awesome. I wonder who owns the franchise? Maybe Activision?

But speaking of games under the 'id' label, you didn't like Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

They invented FPS????

ID was the developer of the very first MEGA HIT FPS game Wolfenstein 3D. Since it was so popuplar ID has been known my most to be the father of the modern day FPS.

The very first FPS is debated but many believe it is MAZE WAR which was released in 1974.

By your logic, Nintendo invented motion controls?

Didn't play it. It was on PS2 right? If I'm going to be honest, the VAST majority of my gaming between 1998 and 2008 was pretty much Diablo 2 with some Xbox and PS2 mixed in (but not much honestly, maybe 15 total games), it wasn't until I got my 360 in 2008 that I got back into console gaming hardcore. Pretty good game though?

I think it was on PS2 too, some crappy port. Great game on PC back in the day.

Oh, it's on PC? I might grab it through Steam, I'm doing Half-Life right now, maybe my next purchase.

Not at all. I never said that ID invented the FPS either. That is just taking my words and twisting them so that you can start an forum argument. I don't know which company invented motion controls first, but I have an educated guess that it was for the PC first and foremost.

I did stat the very first FPS was MAZE WAR, did I not. Does this not disprove you assumtion upon my logic.

Damn, you can't give out straight facts nowadays without having people jump down your throat in a forum and try to call you out on what they think is opinion.
