No offense, but everything you said in this post was dumb.

ohh noooooooooo someone does'nt like the beatles let's get him. lol

Lol you're so funny dude.

Your post was just dumb. Get over it. Lol.

no you get over the fact that someone thinks the beatles are over-rated. zing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What? How was that a zing? And did you really just announce that you "zinged" someone? That's like calling your own burn.

In fact, just go away.

lady gaga is better than the beatles.

Why so serious? lol

Well, I'm kinda tired. And it also just seems like you're trolling.

Sure, you could argue that The Beatles are overrated and all, but you didn't actually provide any reasons. You just said a bunch of dumb things. I'd love to hear some actual reasons instead of stuff that makes you sound like you're half the age you list in your profile.

You should either take this back or change your username.

why? I'm a heavy metal hard rock kind of guy. I don't like sappy/bubble gum pop songs. I like groups like metallica and shinedown and linkin park. So excuse me if I don't like the beatles and don't get there appeal. I have to go. good day sir!!!!!

Helter Skelter is more heavy metal/hard rock than anything by Linkin Park.

I'm also surprised you have to go just now. It's convenient for you though.

If lady caca can stand the test of time, you will have a point. But a 2 year stint in the limelight, selling laughable fashion and hype as music, does not a fine musician make.

Actually I'm not sure she even qualifies as a musician.. she doesn't play or write. She's a vocalist, that's it.

My niece likes her, but she has the palate of a 12 yr old. She's 12.

Leave oldschoolfool alone. Is he not allowed to have an own and different opinion about The Beatles? Please don't treat musicians (or any other artist) as saints. If you do so, John & George will laugh at you from Cloud 9.

As I'm older than most VG members and was probably already listening to Beatles and Stones music when most members weren't even born, here's a bold and sad prediction: During the ~10 years I noticed a sharp decline of people's interest in old movies (i.e. what I call anything pre-StarWars 1977; young people don't watch them or know about them, older people forge about these movies even if they saw them when they were younger). I expect the same to happen to 20th century's music this decade. Most people I know already don't remember most song titles or even the name of the performer.

I blame mp3.

He's allowed to have a differing opinion. He should also be able to back it up instead of hit and run trolling. It's basically the equivalent of entering a thread about a Wii poll and saying "Lol, the Wii is overrated" and then saying nothing to back it up. Why you defend him is beyond me. And I disagree on what you say there. Movies today have more special effects and explosions and CGI and than movies from decades ago, not to mention the recent popularity of 3D. Music, on the other hand, has generally gotten less complicated and less innovative from decades ago. In the 60s, artists were experimenting with all different types of instruments, from the French Horns to the Harpsichord. Nowadays, many music acts don't even play instruments.

I defended oldschoolfool - although he seems to love the only music genre I don't like and although he sometimes acts a bit too childish for a guy with "oldschool" in his user name - because he just stated his opinion (and there's absolutely no need to back up an opinion on art) and because I think you took his differing opinion a bit too personal and too serious.

If you hadn't replied to his post, your little discussion wouldn't have started. If he thinks The Beatles are overrated, that's fine with me. Nothing has changed, you and me can still love and enjoy their music. I think Mozart is a bit overrated - so what, no once cares and I'm pretty sure the Mozarteum won't sue me.
