Forums - Sony - I want arcade cabinet launchers for my game library in Home. Anyone else?

The BIG hook for me with Game Room over 360 was the chance to have my own arcade with cabinets for games I could launch into (this made 2600 and pre-crash arcade co-ops fun to play).  It make me want to make my 360 library and do that.  Since Home is supposed to offer integration with other PS3 titles, I am thinking it would be cool to allow my own apartment to have a place where I could put cabinets down for specific PS3 games I have, and then be able to launch them.  I could invite people over to check out my place and the games.  Sony could also possibly offer people a chance to set up their own arcades and be able to have people who aren't on your friend/contact list to visit and play.

Anyone else here interest in this?  Super Stardust as an arcade machine would be cool.  And it would enable you to have a Tekken cabinet also.  And Double Impact could possibly also get in there that way.

I'm not the biggest home fan, but if something like this came around, it might raise my interest level.

There are arcade cabinet launchers in PS Home. The problem is that you need to have the actual game in either in the HDD or Blu-ray drive to play it. I am in a "club" and the person who owns the club has some arcade cabinets, but you need namco museum to play it.

I think a few games give you cabinets. Home has lots of stuff like that iirc.

I saw those cabinets in a Namco arcade they had set up at Home.  I didn't realize you could stick them in your apartment.  My hope would be that all games would eventually migrate over to this, not just a few.
