Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Monster Hunter becomes 2nd Platinum rated game on Nintendo Channel (UK)

It joins Metroid Prime Trilogy in getting an average rating of 95% or higher from users giving feedback on the Nintendo Channel.  That rating might go down as more people offer feedback, but MPT has kept its platinum status for a while now.

I wondered when we'd get another one

good news, because I bought MPT purely because of its platinum status.

Are you glad you did?

Definitely - It's a fantastic game, and I'm certain that MH3 is too (I'll be getting it ASAP)

Good, form what I've played this far, MH3 is already one of my favourite games on wii.

One of my favorite games of all time already. Damn that was fast.

Cool Congrats MH3

I find that the PLatinum rating the only one thats worth anyhthing as far as the Nintendo Channel ratings go. People are far to generous with many, many games.

@Voltaire

I find it a very mixed bag - Mario Galaxy is only a silver (85-89%), Little King's Story has no medal, while Red Steel 2 (which perhaps just about deserves a bronze [80-84%]) is gold (90-94%). Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by the games getting recognition (e.g. Disaster: DOC). I hope they bring out the budget re-release range over here for medal-earning games.

What does it implies to be platinum status??
