surpass GoW3 in ratings or in graphics ? in graphics they'd first have to surpass gears on 360, but in ratings that might well be possible, if their games really are that good and don't get 5-10 points based on franchise name

Look at it this way. Bungie own the IP. So AB don't have them by the balls. And Kotick has more than enough money to rival Microsoft's advertising.

The argument goes both ways as to people blasting then praising Bungie or vice versa.

Do you guys believe Bungie is going to make a PS3 exclusive game?
If not, I think the next game they make will look better on 360, or probably the next Xbox...

I still believe Bungie have made their reputation on an "overrated, generic shooter franchise" that was excellent and groundbrieking when first started, but overall, poor now.

And i don't think think they'd be able to produce much better on the PS3. I'm sure they could produce something of Halo's standard for the PS3, but it they'll need to demonstrate a great deal of creative thinking to compete with the shooters already on the PS3.

but hey, they may pull a rabbit out of the hat and surprise us. I hope they do, competition on the PS3 is always good.

Although i still won't get their game even if it is good if it's with Activision.

If Bungie could make Halo Reach on 360 more gorgeous than anything is on PS3, then surely they will surpass GOW3 or whatsoever when developing for the same hardware

Lets keep in mind these will be mulitplat games most likely developed on the 360 or PC and ported to PS3. I don't think we will see anything ground breaking for the PS3 in the graphics department.

Now that Bungie can makes games for the PC market we will see what they can really do. Sandbox type games will never have as good as graphics as linear games.

So your counterpoint to my example of an MS fan saying Bungie will be worse now is to say that no MS fan does that?  And apparently "most Sony fans" think Halo is crap but have had a change of heart?

I'm not sure you know what generalities are.  Something like "most Sony fans" is a generality that you can never prove.  Hell you haven't proved a single person did that so far and instead are satisfied to call some undefined group hypocrits and sheep.  I on the other hand said "you have 360 fans who think Bungie is magically going to become a worse developer" and I guess I should add "want them to become a worse developer/ feel betrayed" which means all I have to do is show a few examples and I will be right that there are 360 fans who disprove your "Bungie isa respected devoper for MS fans, always was, always will be."

Now if you want to argue against me you should probably stop acting as though your points are self evident and bring some actual evidence to the table.  A couple of examples of people actually believing that Bungie will now make graphical powerhouses because of the PS3 or that Bungie is the second coming.  Since "most Sony fans" seem to think these things it should be easy for you to find some of these hypocritical posts.

There's no point of making a Topic like this. Surpass in what way? It's not clear, and unusefull. Anyways, Bungie is not making exclusives anymore, so there no reason to compare with GOWIII.
