i honestly believe that people liked halo because it was generic enough that it won't turn any people away. Look at Call of Duty. I expect their next IP to be even more generic. And graphically, they are a step back behind the times it seems.

So I love how all of the sudden Bungie is an elite, well respected, favorite developer to so many PS3 fans. (Skeeuk started this new trend I believe)

and as the counterpoint you have 360 fans who think that Bungie is magically going to become a worse developer because their publisher changed even though the development team remained exactly the same (Aion)

But that has nothing to do with being a 360 fan.  That has to do with knowing Activision and their as of late questionable practices.

PS3 fans on the other hand are doing a complete turn around.  Rather than Bungie just making some "overrated, generic shooter franchise on xbox" they are now some elite developer that will be pushing PS3 hardware to new bounds!  (even though all games will be multiplat, not PS3 exclusive to begin with and Bungie has not done any PS3 development yet whatsoever)

Cuz is Bungie and activison none of them strive for graphic quality only $$$$

lol nope I think Torillian is right. I have been seeing many former Bungie supporters screameing bloody murder or something after this incident and even some remarks like they will never buy a bungie game again or bungie is dead to them

personally Bungie games were pretty meh to me after Halo:CE. So a new direction will do them good. they have FULL control over their IP's with Activision unlike IW, so they will be just fine but many seem to overlook this for some reason

We'll see what Bungie comes up with.

Whether their first effort on the PS3 showcases their ability to optimize with the hardware, or repeat their success with the Halo franchise on even a smaller level remains to be seen.

I can potentially see them going back to Halo if the success isn't on the same level; it's natural to fall back on your greatest success.

Anyway, this isn't the first time the developer took a drastic change in platforms. As many are well aware, Bungie used to be one of the premiere game developers for the Mac OS before MS effectively bought them and the Halo franchise.

Lol I have Even Seen 360 Fans Turning on Halo after the announcement, halo is Suddenly Terrible For a few.

So Really It Is not just The PS3 Fans With the Sudden Change of Heart.

Bungie has said in the past that are committed to keeping features like same box 4-=player split screen and for pushing gameplay over graphics. Unless they are making a very different game and changing their philosophy entirely, which i doubt, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. You can't render something 4 times on a screen and get top quality. You just can't. Add to that the fact that it will be multiplatform and their first time developing for PS3 and I have doubts that it will be the greatest game graphically the world has seen.

But I will bet it will rock.

On a multiplat title graphic wise theres no chance. But selling more than GOW3 then yeah maybe. But just remember theres already Halo Reach ads being shown on telly for the beta and without Microsofts hugh ad campaign for there new IP and the possibility that the Xbox 360 version gets exclusive content. I don't see there new IP selling more on PS3 than what GOW 3 sold.
