Just because you can make a price drop doesn't mean you do it haha. I love when people say that because it's rather silly when you think about it. Lowering price is a strategic move. It's something businesses don't want to do but when they think they are at a point where the potential revenue losses in cutting the price will be less then then extra sales they will gain then they go ahead and do it. It is never a thing of well we can so let's do it. That's just bad business.
On topic, it does seem that this rumor that we've had will be true, and probably more than just a Gamestop thing (Nintendo and Wal-Mart have too many business deals to just give it to Gamestop). And what I've been thinking would happen for a very long time considering they want the motion plus base to be as high as possible by the time Zelda Wii comes out.
