Forums - Nintendo - What i think the Wiimote has over the PS Move (if it end up more precise)

The phone concept with the Wiiremote works really well in Silent Hill:Shattered Memories too

Nintendo's Software!?!

I have yet to be convinced that it'll sell well (I myself have no intention of buying one) or that it will be any way better than a wiimote with WM+ (so far, I'm yet to be convinced).

If it does all of the above, it still has years of nintendo GAMES to try and better too - remember, sony are effectively starting out from the same position as nintendo did in 2006...they've got 4years of catch up to do.

The main thing that the Wiimote has over the move is that every Wii owner has one.

Time doesn't really matter, you can release multiple games if you have multiple developers, support matters, and third party support is the most important.

Yup... that's the main advantage.

But NES style playing is way good also!

Also, does anyone know how to turn the speaker off in Zelda:TP? Way too loud!

Press the Home button and go to the settings and change the volume.

Meh I've never been too impressed by the speaker in the wiimote. I think it had potential from the beginning, but it was more of a gimmicky add-on to the wiimote or at least only been used that way. Nor have I really found any game to use it properly, aside from maybe No More Heroes (although just a small part). It actually could be a very cool function to give more realism to the object you are holding in the game (especially if it also had a mic on it for some games that can be turned on and off) but I've yet to see any dev... including Nintendo, really try to think out of the box with it. That happens a lot with Wii... the remote just has so many different possibilities that you just don't see anyone taking the time to figure them out.

As for Wiimote and one-upping the Move... well I'd need to really have the Move controller in my hands to compare. It does seem that Move is more precise in some instances, but there are functions the wiimote does seem to do better (mainly due to the IR sensor). But until I physically have the Move controller, and the Navigator (really Sony haha) then I can't make an accurate statement one way or another.
