No I don't think the 360 is doomed, Sales are down across the board for consoles, Both PS3 and 360 have a lot of great titles in the works, Yes I think PS move will be much bigger then Natal, but game wise xbox has Alan Wake, Reach, to spike sales. E3 will tell us a lot, This is a big market for such a crappy economy, I hate to blame the economy, but in my own household, I don't have the money right now to buy all the games I want, sure I can charge them, but I won't, Everybodies making these hugh sales perdictions which I wish I could say , Hell yes its going to sale like this, but reality is we are in a major depression which is effecting everything, some may not want to see it, but it is there, 360 will continue to move along.

No it's not.

The 360 is only doomed in the sense all consumer electronics are - of course it will peak and fade away, and unless MS are very lucky of course, launching earlier, it will probably peak and begin to fade before the PS3 and Wii.

But, on it's own terms it's been a success I'd say. It's still going strong, it's given MS a good position in US and Europe, and it's sold more than a lot of other consoles have.

It's unlikely I think to match PS1, PS2 and Wii (I just don't think Natal will give it the boost it would need) but compared to Xbox and where MS started I'd say it's been a pretty successful console all things considered.

So no. It's not doomed in the way I think you imply - it's been a success and will fade away politely as a good console to be replaced at some point but a new Xbox.

What does 'doomed' even mean in this case?...the 360 has passed the 40 million mark (according to the latest report from MS), is doing well considering it´s its fifth year, is still able to sell a lot of software and will finish this generation being at least the 5th or 6th best selling home console of all time.

Of course not, there are a lot of hits. Someday i buy one.

As long as it's making money it's not doomed. And as of now, it doesn't seem as if it's gonna stop making money any time soon.

Honestly no console is doomed and all 3 are actually a success already!

However I don't think 360 can last past 2012.
