Made a thread about this before, and this week has proven my theory. Splinter Cell is unable to lift 360 software on top of the PS3 except for it's first week (barely), and it will stay this way for the rest of the year until Halo releases, except for two more weeks, those being the first week of Alan Wake and Crackdown 2.

Like Splinter Cell, Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 will fall off the chart relatively quickly too. By their second weeks, PS3 software will be on top again.

This is the first time I've really been sure about something. I don't normally go around making bets, but anyone wanna take it? :D

PS: I don't think Alan Wake will be able to boost it above ps3.

EDIT: Not that Alan Wake is a bad game, but the week Alan wake releases, Winning Eleven comes out for ps3 in Japan, and the week before, nigh, days before, Fifa world cup comes out in others and we all know how much ps3 trounces 360 in sports games ww, especially in soccer. Also, 3d dot game heroes comes out, and red dead redeption (which will probably sell more on ps3 because it's a platformer which was also pretty big on ps2 as RDRevolver). It will be close, but Alan Wake isn't mainstream enough or multiplayer enough to lift it above.

I don't agree with you, I think that a new Call of Duty game will also help to boost the 360 over the ps3 in SW

Exclusives aren't the only games that sell on the 360, multiplats do really well on it, especially if they are shooters.

there is also that new medal of honor game, which i think will help drive that week to be a 360 week

Actually the holiday season as a whole should belong to 360 along the software department, if a price cut happens and natal is launched succesfully.

ps.but, ps3 should have the first 3/4ths of the year

that's right, i agree. call of duty and medal of honor, and everything else in the holidays will belong to 360.

that's why my wager says "until Halo". Halo is the beginning of 360 WW SW dominance. but until Halo releases, PS3 SW will be on top.
