Maybe you pissed your 360 off by hooking it up to the competition, so it is trying to commit suicide by running 24/7?

@ Tanstalas, you can also plug your PSP to your 360 and look at pictures, transfer pics/themes (like my 360 Heavenly Sword theme) and listen to music. Pretty sweet!

Clearly your PS3 infected it with a virus.

This doesn't happen to my 360.  Though my wii makes cracking noises... when unplugged... and nobody is near it.  It's bizare.
