Are people ignoring 3D Dot Game Heroes or something? O_o
There's no way Okami is more Zelda than 3D Dot. I mean duh.

Sadly, the best Zelda clone this gen is the best Zelda clone of last gen (even though it's a great game!):
Okami.
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
People who are picking "other", what games are you picking? I'm trying to think of other Zelda-clones this gen but I'm coming up empty... there are some that skirt the line (Fable II) or are admitted homages though (No More Heroes).
Also, I want to hug whoever picked Rocket Slime.
Okami is objectively a last gen game. That's like saying MGS: Twin Snakes was the Best Stealth game of last gen. A remake or port (which Okami is) does not make it current gen.
3D Dot Game Heores?

It's been out in Japan for half a year. People do import y'know...

While true, it did come out in 2006 at least. Your comparison would work better had MGS1 come out in 2000 or 2001 originally.
Oh, one more I just thought of was EA's Tsumuji. It's Japan only so far, but it's rumored to get a western localization under the title "Whirlwind".
Wasn't EA working on a DS Zelda clone? Does anybody know the name of that game or what happened to it?

Well, there seems to be two ways people are interpreting this thread:
1. Which of these Zelda clones is the best clone?
On that note I agree with you in that 3DDGH is the cloniest of the clones (and the best if we're talking about Top-Down Zelda).
2. Here's some Zelda Clones, now which one is the best?
Since I haven't played 3DDGH, and I loved Okami, I went with that.
EDIT: And what Euphoria said too.
