Hey everyone, list your top 10 favourite characters this generation...you may list returning characters from previous generations too.
My list
1. Old Snake (MGS4 really made this guy a legend and fans could not have asked for a better end to his story)

2. Nathan Drake (If it wasn't for Snake, this guy would top my list. He is one of the few videogame characters that are hilarious and badass at the same time. I love Nathan Drake; he is one of the main reasons Uncharted has its cinematic feel)

3. Niko Bellic (Never has the GTA series ever had a character so fleshed out and realistic. Niko's story is amazing and you learn to care for him as the game progresses. Let's hope Rockstar is able to come up with a character as awesome as him in their next game)

4. Marcus Fenix (Move aside Masterchief, say hello to the most badass character on the 360. Although some would argue that he is very one-dimensional and stereotypical, I think he's perfect for the type of game he is in. I wouldn't want Marcus to talk about his feelings while fighting hordes of Locusts; how lame would that be?)

5. Sam Fisher (Michael Ironside: Check, Bad-ass kills: Check, Awesome moves: Check, Angry and badass: Check!)

6. Sackboy (By far one of the cutest characters to ever hit gaming consoles; Sackboy appeals to all ages, sex and preferences. His charm is what makes LBP so awesome)

7. Captain Shephard (Mass Effect 2 requires a protagonist like Shephard; someone who is heroic, human, and also interactive. Kudos to Bioware for making such an awesome character)

8. Ezio (Unlike the first game, Ubisoft nailed the voice acting this time and actually gave this character some purpose. Ezio is out for blood and hunting the killers of his family is all that matters. He is badass, funny, charming, cool and overall awesome!)

9. Kratos (I must say that I was a bit disappointed with how Kratos was portrayed in the latest installment of GOW. He would have been in the top 5 of my list in the previous generation but after playing through GOW3 thrice, I can count at least 5-6 cringe-worthy moments where I thought Kratos was being foolish and unreasonable. Regardless of that, he is arguably the most badass character of this generation and ruthless attitude earns him a spot on the list).

10. I have never been a fan of Masterchief but there is no doubting that he deserves to be on the list. The guy was and will always be an icon for Microsoft's console and Halo would not have been as special as it is if Bungie had created a regular human protagonist.
