Please keep in mind I haven't played any games yet for PS3, so If you recommend sequel keep in mind I haven't played the original. Example - Assassin's creed, Resistance, Uncharted, MGS, ect

I was talking about Uncharted 1 - it is the greatest hits game, not the 2nd one

AC is a good game, I really enjoyed it, though a lot did not as it was repetitive, and even I found that it got repetitive, but hidden assassin blades!?!  Come on!!!

MGS I will agree - if you haven't played prior games skip that one :)

No mention for Oblivion and Fallout 3?  Those games you can sink 100 hours into easy if you are a completionist :)

Does it matter if I haven't played the original fallouts? And I'll look into Oblivion and see if it's my kind of game. Thanks for your suggestion ;D

All three games are good in my opinion , you did a good job for starters, i'd tell you to get Yakuza 3 and Demon's Souls later these are must haves

btw what is your favorite types of games?

Thanks, I put some thought into my selections.

My favorite types of games are Shooters (First or Third person), RPGs, and Platformers.

Definatly go with Oblivion or Fallout 3 if you are a 1st/3rd person and RPG fan.  You will be doing yourself a disservice if you do not :)

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

I might get stoned for this but....

Get Modern Warfare 2!

*Gets the rock pile ready*

Kidding! - I actually liked MW2, and I'm not a fan of shooters... well aside from Halo..

Though since I liked MW2 so much I bought MAG and BFBC2 since :P  (MW2 is better than both of them IMO)

The best you can do is getting the ps3, get GoW collection and GoW III. Also get Assassin's creed I and II if you want. I'm sure you can find the first one cheap, but I didn't really enjoy that one. But the II is a whole other story.

Hmmm, my brother actually has Oblivion on the 360 so I might check that out on his 360 before I go out and get it myself.

I'm going to look into Fallout 3, thanks for brining that to my attention.

Edit- I just found out my brother also has Fallout 3 on 360, I guess I will check those both out to help me decide if I want to pursue these games.

I would not buy Battlefield Bad Company. But instead purchase Kill Zone 2 (Playing the first isn't necessary at all and truly it's a wonderful shooter) and Uncharted 1.

Next on your list should be :

- Uncharted 2 $60
- God of War Collection (1 and 2) $30
- God of War 3 $60
- Heavy Rain $60
- Metal Gear Solid 4 (You also could purchase the collection of those as well and while it would help to play them sequentially, there is no need. They provide a free downloadable Database that you can sit down and read information and catch yourself up on a lot of the story).

- Resistance 1 / 2

I would truly buy each and everyone of these games prior to purchasing just about any multi-platform game.  Especially if your brother has a 360 chances are you'll have the chance to play most multi-platform games already or many of the great ones this gen.    The PS3 exclusives are really where it's at.

GoW wasn't a series that I was ever interested in so I don't think I would get those games, just not my kind of game.

But I am interested in AC.

I might consider swaping BFBC2 for Killzone 2 and Uncharted 1. Thanks for the suggestion.
