Anyone here try the game using its full potential with DX11? I have. It isnt a massive improvement but noticable. Beautiful game with everything maxed.

Wish I could...gtx295 runs the game at max easily (even with 3D vision perfectly at 1080p if I lower the AA a bit)...but it dont do DX11
sorry I dont have the game, but i just wanted to point out how I think Im a huge nerd for being able to read the title without thinking about it...

sucks, you dont get the lighting improvements that DX11 gives to the game.

Wish I could experience it that way, but I bought it for the 360. Still looks stunning, even though the 360 is DX9 based.
No it doesnt push dx11 anywhere near what it could have. The only real thing is the lighting method and that is a small jump from 10. It doesnt really use to much tessellation. I have a 5850 with everything maxed other than AA at 1080p it runs about 55-60 fps avg. However if you are going to upgrade your rig for dx11 just for this game i would have to say pass that and wait till something eles comes alone that takes it to the next level. That and by then the cards will be cheaper anyway. Hope this helps

Yeah, I was gonna ask this. How much improvement DX11 is versus Dx9 in Bad Company 2.
The game is already beautiful in Dx9. Very detailed, textures are great etc.

I would have liked to buy it for the PC, but my computer uses integrated graphics, so I'm out of luck as far as maxing games out. Besides, all my friends play online on the 360, anyway.
I picked up the PC version direct from EA via their DD service when they were selling it for $25, but I also bought a copy of the PS3 version for my brother.
The console version wasn't that bad; granted I didn't play the PC version with a DX11 card for comparison. It mostly just looked a little chunkier, particularly on a 52" HDTV. Most of the PC version was played with an older ATI V7700 FireGL workstation card (not optimized for games) and some with a DX10.1 HD4870, which just meant higher res, better effects, better frame rates, etc.
If I were to do a DX11 set up today, it would be a pair of HD5770s, but I probably wouldn't feel it was worth the upgrade after the fact. It seems like more of an "enjoy it if you recently had to upgrade to a current gen VGA card" sort of upgrade.
I'll just have to play BFBC2 again when it's time to upgrade VGA cards.
