If they can take a similar step with Metroid, they have basically done their job in moving Metroid into the future, as Sakamoto has been wanting to do ever since the N64. Not to say Metroid Prime wasn't a step forward for Metroid, but while Metroid Prime was a good game, it wasn't a full-fledged 3D Metroid in the sense of what Sakamoto wanted. And frankly, what I pictured a 3D Metroid should be. Many skills had to be removed and exploration was very slow, all to keep the illusion that you were in the suit. It looks like they are fixing that with this game. |
