Today I would like to put forth the proposition that "there is a correlation between PS3 performance and anti-Wii propaganda."
To start let us look at the PS3's performance week 27/03 - 17/04.

At the time of week 27/03, the PS3 was still at a point of newfound strength and momentum, easily producing a substantially improved sales performance when compared to previous years. During this time, it can also be observed, that there was a relatively calm and peaceful period where anti-Wii propaganda was kept at reasonably low levels.
When we look at 17/04, we can see that sales performance for the PS3 has drastically declined. Also since that period, we have seen corresponding rise in levels of anti-Wii propaganda with such examples as threads proclaiming that Nintendo has ruined gaming for them and that HD performance of No More Heroes in Japan is meaningfully superior to the Wii's.
Of course the 2nd thread is of particular interest, as while the PS3 version of No More Heroes outsold the Wii version by a mere 3K, the PS3 had more than 1 million larger userbase than the Wii did when NMH launched on its console. What makes these sales even more disasterous for the PS3 is that in the same timeframe and with a meagre 1.28 million userbase, the XBOX360 managed to match its sales.
So in summation, PS3 performance would seem to be indicative of the density of anti-Wii propaganda. Here is a graphical illustration.
