Forums - Sony - Did Update 3:30 Made The Audio Clearer?

Once i started playing my games i notice that the audio was a lot clearer then before.

Thats funny, it may be a coincidence but while playing today, my rear speaker sounded loader then usual, I had to lower them down. I thought to myself that I probably raised them to listen to music but didnt remembered doing so in the last days.

No, but i don't use surround sound so my answer may be biased.

Which games? Wouldn't be the first time SONY improved support for games with a firmware update.

4 ≈ One

Well, they did add new audio options, so I suppose some other backend changes to the audio output may have happened:

New or revised features in version 3.30

* [Bitstream (Direct)] and [Bitstream (Mix)] have been added as options under [Video Settings] > [BD Audio Output Format (Optical Digital)].

"Valkyria Chronicles" and "Final Fantasy XIII". I play those games all the time and after i updated my PS3 the sound was slightly sharper then before? For example during the openings you can actually hear how clear the songs really are and isn't just me. Kinda like when you watch a Blu-ray movie you can hear how high and low the sound can be... if you know what mean?

The audio sounded louder on my left side then the right a few times when the sound got higher.
