MLB Extra Innings is $199, so the price for MLB.TV isn't bad. The problem before was watching the games on your TV instead of your computer. If this PSN app runs smoothly, then problem solved. Good job Sony!

I only kept cable for Baseball.

I would feel much better paying ~$18/month than ~$65-80/month.

Keep in mind that local team games are blacked out, so you won't be able to watch any local teams.

I cant see that. I already downloaded the app, you can browse th einterface but to get a game running you need to link it like netflix. But ill tell you, its smooth and easy and you can choose instantly between either teams HD broadcast so non of us have to listen to the terrible Chicago White Sox commentators ever again!!!!

But its free now, no way Sony goes from a free app to start charging in the future.

Can you DVR games onto your PS3 hard drive?  Next week I'm either getting this or Extra Innings.  I like the idea of choosing either teams broadcasts, but I need DVR functionality.

I'm planning on cancelling my $60 a month cable, and just getting this. Shame about the regional blackouts though. E.g. if you live in LA, you can't get Dodger or Angel games because local TV stations have the rights.

i already cancelled cable and got this, and now getting on my ps3 to easily put it on my tv is icing on the cake. I LOVE IT
