The XMB will run on any computer launched in the last five years.  If Sony are smart about this they'll allow remote play from any PC and have a decent impact on stealing some PC market.

could you tell me where to download the XMB to install it on my PC? Last news article I saw on Bit-Tech was that is exclusive to VIAOs. I doubt they will release the code to the general public since it would be stripped down to find the PS3's weaknesses.

Indeed,  Remote Play from PC sounds more like "Remote Hackzors, get ready for widespread PS3 piracy" if Sony's not careful about how they distribute it.

The chances of finding an exploit to run unsigned code from a steaming feature are borderline impossible.  Im sure you dont understand remote play at all, and should probably not comment on it.

You are correct,  it would be incredibly difficult to do so.  But then again, that's why I included the part about "how they distribute it", if it's steaming, then no worries, I hope.   

if remote play for PC is something like PSP remote play it is probably very difficult to hack the PS3 from that since the video and audio its streamed from the PS3 to the PC and the only thing going from PC to PS3 are basic control inputs like the DS3 send to PS3... so no code can be uploaded to PS3 to exploit something... well i can also be very wrong... we will see...
