To me it takes ~5mins to update

All of which could have been summed up in about 4 updates. I still haven't used the in game XMB so therefore pretty useless for me.

If you are talking about todays 3.30 update mine was downloaded and install in 5 minutes on a 6 MB connection

how's your internet connection something hogging your bandwidth?

My updates take 5-10 minutes and my connection is only decent not super fast.

I download the update file using my PC. Alot faster this way for me

I see a lot of update love in this thread. That's fine. Me on the other hand, I fucking hate them. Like the OP, my Wii and 360 update in no time. My PS3? Much longer and far more often. Earlier this year, I decided to play MGS online and Uncharted 2 online but the updates took so long that I back out and to this date, I've never played them online.

And lately, I don't do updates at all. When I turn on my PS3, I'm ready to play a game right then and there. My game time is limited. I don't want to spend my precious moments waiting for a super slow update.

PS3 owners really get the short end of the stick on this one. I really thought Twesterm would be all over this one. It's an actual, legitimate gripe!

you must hav some pretty slow internet. iv never had one take more than 15 mins max for mw

i usually download from my PC store it on the flash drive and use it to install it into the PS3, its faster

took me like less than 10mins. RoadRunner FTW.
