Forums - Nintendo - Just beaten the most epic battle in all Pokemon, Red.

Well, here it is, the endgame of Soul Silver. Fighting Red was really exciting, more so that all of his pokemon were at least 4-15 levels above my party.

In the end though, It just took me one Max Revive to get through the battle.

Focus Sash on Feraligatr provided me with the window to use Earthquake on Pikachu.
Venusaur was dealt with Charizard's Flamethrower.
Blastoise OHKO'ed by Electivire's Thunderbolt.
Snorlax was swiped away by Electivire's Low Kick.
Lapras never stood a chance against Feraligatr Superpower.
And Charizard itself fell to it's own companion Rock Slide.

Had only two pokemon KO'ed, Feraligatr thanks to the Hail that constantly buffeted the screen, after he got to 1 HP due to Pikachu's Volt Tackle, and Alakazam, which served as Cannon Fodder for Snorlax to Max Revive Feraligatr.

So, have you defeated Red too? What was your strategy for the fight?

Congrats, I haven't beaten him yet but I will soon.

As soon my Pokemon get strong enough. What lvl were your Pokemon on?

My strongest was Dragonite at LVL 76 and didn't do anything on the fight. Electivire was my lowest at LVL 73, and he was my main attacker. Everyone else was at LVL 74

I did it with a single Charizard with amulet coin as held item (I'm greedy lol). It was a nice battle.

Also, it got me curious, what battle mode you use?

I plan on going to face him in a couple of minutes. I'm pretty confident that I'll beat him with my pokemon that I raised from this game, but I'm gonna bring my lv 92 Empoleon as back up lol.

Also in that other thread you mentioned the sinnoh starters? I don't mind trading for anything man it only takes me a couple of minutes to get eggs for them it's not like I'm losing anything. I don't mind helping out.

What Level was your Charizard and what was his moveset?

What do you mean by Battle Mode? The Battle Style? I always leave it on Shift, why?

I got a lot of work to do.

What version do you have, Heart Gold or Soul Silver? If you have HG then we can help each other out, as I'm trying to catch Groudon now. If you get to catch Kyogre, then we can both get Rayquaza.

About the Sinnoh starters, what do you want for them? I don't have many Pseudo-Legendaries, other than Dragonite and Metagross. I have all the exclusive Soul Silver pokemon, except Mawile since it's a swarm pokemon which I haven't got yet.

Yes, Red... the epic battle. I remember playing my Poké Silver (the original one) on what seems eons ago, leveling up my Pokémons so they could stand Pikachu and company.
