Forums - General - Do You Read Newspapers?

Every weekend we buy The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review and the Sunday Telegraph. So my household buys 4 papers on average every weekend. Three on saturday and one on sunday.

I don't generally buy the daily papers during the week, though I do read MX which is a free (and very crappy compared to the paid papers). MX is given away at train stations.

I also read a lot of news on the web of course.

Almost everyday, mostly sports and the headlines to see if something is interesting, and I also read some news in the internet.

I've bought and read a newspaper once. Don't even remember which one, it was 10 years ago. And I've read one issue of Newsweek that same week.

I'll pick up something while browsing occasionally, but generally I don't follow anything. No TV/radio either.

I read a physical newspaper a couple of times a week when I go out to lunch by myself and the restaurant has a newspaper. I tend to get most of my news from aggregators (like Google News) and I read several stories from different sources about a particular topic or event; and I tend to read many of the comments and linked articles on most of these stories. I have personally found that the comments are often more unbiased and informative than the articles are.

I read the Ottawa Sun most days, the whole thing, I also read The Glengarry News, weekly newspaper from my home town

Yeah. That reminds me. I also read the free local council newspaper, which is called The Advocate. Its pretty rubbish really, but its free and its sometimes got a local issue or two that one should know about.

yes. And I'm also on my school's Newspaper class. Joining the class made me value physical newspapers a lot more.

I sometimes read the sports section when they have articles I'm interested in. I also sometimes read the comics.
