FF1? 8.5/10.
It's gameplay is solid as ever, and it's story is simple and straight foward... if your not going to tell a deep good story... i'd rather it stay out of the way of the gameplay. Has tons of replayability. Due to the way you can change up your party it's more replayable then pretty much any Final Fantasy with the exception POSSIBLY of FF12. I'd rather play FF over FF7 or 8 anyday.
FF2? 4/10. Nearly unplayable. It had a GENIUS system. Instead of levels, you got better by doing... swing your sword... you became better at fighting... cast magic... you became better at magic. The problem was however... to get HPs you had to be reduced to very weak level.... levels which the FF2 monsters rarely got you to.... until you went to the next area and the monsters smacked down your weak HP guys into oblivion. It also annoyed me that when your ATK went up your Magic went down and vice versa... making it impossible to make good "Red Mage" characters who could do a little of it all.
