but I can actually understand if the volcano disrupted things here since Wii was not exactly in fantastic supply already (warehouses would be unlikely to compensate for disrupted supplies), and the closing of Euro air space could have disrupted shipments even for the US.

I think Wii supply issues are ongoing and mostly unrelated.  They only use air freight around the holidays, otherwise shipments come by boat.  The increased demand for shipping caused by the eruptions may make an impact, but that won't happen for many more weeks considering the logistics of ocean freight (6-8 week delay).  This going for PS3 also.

Please dont start saying there are supply constraints in the US from a Japanese manufacturer due to the Volcano situation in western europe!

Sooooo where is leo...?

I think this fits in with my prediction of his prediction being wrong "very soon" i.e. 2 weeks.

(that prediction being the PS3 would stay above the 360 for along time to come in the US)

Well it looks like there may have been some adjustments as the 360 was ahead of the PS3 in NA for the week ending April 10th as well. So he was already wrong it seems.

82,804 (-8%) 22,790,473
80,483 (-15%)

13,622,570

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Way to ruin the prediction league's guesses! All these last minute adjustments after all the bets for April 17th. Everyone had about 20-30k higher hardware totals

Yeah, you're right, the volcano which shall not be named had likely nothing to do with it. In which case, it's quite bad for Nintendo. April 2009 should be an easy comparison, supply for the week didn't need to be particularly high either to make YoY gains.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Excluding Japan, sales of X360 and PS3 aren't that different.

There's a 13,000 difference (totals of others and NA).

About 10% of difference. It isn't big.

it was more than enough to call the ps3 domed last year.  ..and besides, japan still exists whether you like it or not.

Did you just say that something is DOMED?

Pretty weak sales for HD consoles this week even conviction didn't do a thing....=.=

An ok week so far, Ps3 is doing well and ahead of the 360 also still,

Btw SC:C was counted this week yes? So not much of a hardware mover?
