Why should we trust loltaku on this?

My only complaint with Famitsu to this day stems from their 29/40 score for Demon's Souls.  One guy gave it a six because it was "too hard".  Dengeki scored it much higher, giving it 85/85/95/85.

And they also (surprisingly) overrate some western games.  Both Haze and Lair got mid-30s.  It's like they review them thinking, "well, this is what western gamers probably like."

Haze and Lair are for a Japanese based company, Sony.

Not saying anything against Sony, just seems odd that in recent months (years), during Japan's lag spell of software/hardware sales, that a Japanese review mag is reviewing Japanese games publishers high scores to boost sales.

But I don't know why we should not trust Kotaku over your complaints of Famitsu?

Haze has nothing to do with Sony.  It was a joint venture between Free Radical and Ubisoft, one that went ps3 exclusive because ps3 was the lead platform and Free Radical were bleeding money (and thus went bankrupt).

And unlike Haze, Demon's Souls was published by Sony.  The idea that one game scored high and the other scored low is because of Sony is ludicrous.

? what do you mean?

This is not like a rumor, look at the pics, Hirokazu Hamamura is right there, even holding a MG PSP..

Also what wrong with Kotaku? It's a creditable site, like us it reports gaming news, can't really think of an article they posted that was wrong or brought to my attention that I should not read their news.

Sorry.  Worded that wrong.  Not to say kotaku is making things up, as it is obvious Famitus has many tie-ins with Peace Walker, but why should we care about Kotaku's opinion on this?  They're a joke of a site that'll do anything for url=http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=290590]hits.[/url]

? whats so different from many game news site?

Stuff pops up on the web, submitted by users, and then posted? it was retracted, the pic alone shows how game news sites post their news, once in a blue moon a game news site gets an exclusive news article, and then with in the hour it's posted on the rest of the game news sites.

GTA deserves the 98 metascore? give me a break , its not even half as good as the other games in the series.

(Dude I'm not going to go into why GTA4 deserves the 98..)

I will ask how many Game Review Site Publishers showed pics of them selves playing a game the just game a Perfect Score to?

A perfect score that use to be very rare for the particular mag.

Click the links to see why.  Seriously, one of the articles they posted was about information over three years old.

And time and time again their articles have simply been rumors ripped from gaf.

They're a joke of a site that'll do anything for hits.

The magazines point is to make money, if that gets them the most money, and people still think its credible than what they did was the correct thing to do. Maybe he agreed to hold it because he thought the game was damn good who knows?

Because one can still hold the metal gear solid PSP in a picture and review it, just the same as another reviewer without having to inflate the score. Its the same as game advertising only this time hes actually in the picture.

Also, if the review justifies the 10 and it makes sense, there is nothing wrong with it, (I assume you can't read japanese so you can't vouch for anything than the number maybe I'm wrong).

If theres a lot of people like you and think the review was bought then the magazine will go down the toilets, if people buy the game and read the review and feel it was justified, it was just advertising where the magazine guy endorsed a good game.

So what you saying is, a Japanese Review Magazine, gave a game a higher score because it was exclusive to who? Sony? and Sony is based in what country?

When Haze came out, Japanese games sales were even lower then they are now with the next gen consoles, so to give it a push etc etc..

he did and it was damn good, it was zone of the enders I, but mores so Zone of the enders II, and the gameplay isn't like metal gear at all.

just not that many bought it. You can't just pull big IP's out of your ass

This is the reason why you should not trust magazines/news/reviews.
