Forums - Nintendo - Thinking of selling my Wii, I need to be taked out of it

So I bought my Wii at launch and I've played so many games this year and enjoyed a much needed refreshing change but all year i've looked al the release schedule for final quarter (i'm from UK) and been waiting for soo many games coming into christmas.

In the space of a month or so just about my entire wish list has been wiped out until 2008 with Zak and Wiki, SSBB, MOH Heroes 2 with it's 32 player online (been announced this week it's now delayed until Feb) and with having completed MP3, currently on 78 stars in SMG and REUC coming out on Friday so I reckon i'll be finished this in a week or so I am no longer looking forward to Wii's December - bit of an anti climax.

I'm really annoyed at how yet again Europe have to wait so long and with the inflated prices for the Wii hitting the news I'm tempted to sell it and buy again next Feb when the games finally do get released, hell with 13 VC games and my library, 2 Wiimotes and 2 nunchucks, wireless gamecube controller and several GC games I might just get a decent price.

Do it, as a owner, you should know its not worth $500. Jokes on the fool who buys it!

I say sell it and get a DS :) Wii games aren't really overpriced in Europe when compared to other games. And delays happen. If you hate delays stay away from Nintendo games and the PS3 in general.

Maybe you should just buy an MMO and play that until more games you like come out.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

buy UT3 and/or TF2 for the pc and you're fine till the games finally hit europe

i've already got a DS and 360 to keep me occupied but it's still the Wii I love the most ,totally agree about the MMO.

But then again i'm also reallyy addicted to Endless Ocean so that just may keep me occupied throughout December but PC gaming is something I really have been considering getting into - I have a really good Pc sitting there but never used it for games and I just love old style point and click games and noticed you could get Broken sword 1 and 2 for Pc for £5.00 off amazon.  That sounds really tempting to be hnoest

Well if its still the wii you love the most then I would keep it. If you did sell it when SSBB, Mario Kart wii, Zak and Wiki, and MOH are released wont you wish you had your wii still??? I sure would. I sold me Gamecube only to buy one again a a later date. Hang on in there.....For me ive just got SMG and am looking forward to RE:UC and Links crossbow training and still havent completed Metroid prime 3.

thats the thing, if it's still supply constrained in Feb I would be devastated

you're right - in europe we have to wait longer for the games.
but its the same on every console - take it easy :)

think about SSBB, Mario Kart, etc.

you will see that the wii has a great lineup coming.

Selling it would be stupid IMO.

First - you lose *everything* on it. All Miis, saves, VC titles, records - and more. Some you can backup - some you can't.

Secondly - the Wii is not as supply constrained in Europe as in the US - so you won't do as well.

Lend it to some friends for a while, then see if you miss it in a week or so.

Remember - the DS demo channel should be out soon, as may be some other surprises. You'll be kicking yourself if it launches with a Brawl demo...

Nocturnal is helping companies get cheaper game ratings in Australia:

Wii code: 2263 4706 2910 1099

Yea I didnt think of that, you could have trouble getting one still then.

As well as those theres
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
House of the dead 2 and 3
Geometry Wars: Galaxies
No More Heroes
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
Okami

All of which im looking forward to in 2008, not to mention Nintendo have been quiet as of late and must have a bunch of goodies rumoured e.g. Pikmin 3/Animal Crossing wii, F zero, phaps 1080, Mario Golf??? Lined up for the future.
