Why can't I buy it standalone?! I had to choose either a bundle with two games I have no interest in ever playing (Lego Batman and Pure) or a bundle with Halo 3, Forza 3, Lego Batman and Kung Fu Panda (with Forza 3 being the only game I want out of those). Either way, I have to pay several hundred (NOK) for games I don't want. Is there another way of getting an Elite, from someplace else? If I merely import one, its going to be even more expensive with the VAT's and toll fees (will probably end up at around 3000NOK, which is probably 1400NOK more than it would cost standalone domestcially if it were available).

I had the same problem when I bought my first PS2, I had to get the WRC bundle, I didn't want the game at all but had no choice (to make matters worse, there was an MGS2 bundle available two weeks later...). If all else fails, are there any new bundles headed for Europe? Alan Wake or Fable 3 perhaps? There was a Forza 3 pack available last fall but I didn't have the money then!

Please, someone, anyone help me sort this out!

Bundles are what they do before they slash the price. How about trading in the bundle games and using them to get something else you would rather play? By the way, why don't you like Forza or ODST?

Hmm, if you don't have the equivalent of Amazon then I'd say buy the bundle and sell the games.

Since those games aren't going to lose what little value they have, you could keep them, get some easy achievements, and then sell them too.

it should be the same price with those bundled games. At least that is how it is in the USA. So why not get free games?

I suggest buy the best bundle and trade the games for something you may want.

This is probably the first time in history that someone doesn't want FREE games... Dude, those games are FREE, you pay for Elite only. If you want other bundle like with FFXIII or SC:C you will pay for a game too.

As others have said, the bundle with Halo:ODST and Forza 3 is the the price of the console only, the games are free. Some of the other bundles are more but I think you get an extra controller as well as the game, no?

As everyone has been saying... Usually the Elite Bundle doesn't come with games so those games are basically free as part of a promotion. You are paying $100 for the hard drive and headset really.

Well, plus you get the cool black case.
