Rock Band is awesome assuming you have A) $170, B) PS3/X360 (PS2 version isn't worth it IMO) and C) 2-3 friends you can play with in the same room.
It's Guitar Hero + Karaoke Revolution + Drum Hero, but together. Everything clicks when you're all playing together. The best multiplayer GOTY by far. Single player isn't terrible, but you really are missing out.
You get a lot of customization with your characters. I was really disapointed with GH3's character selection (where's Pandora?) But now i can just make whoever I want. The dynamically generated loading screens with my character on them? OH YEAH.
The drums are crazy hard though. Really, Easy difficulty drums = Medium difficulty everything else. Wish they made it easier, but Harmonix's CEO is a drummer. I'm sure he had some input on drum difficulty.
Harmonix, you've done a great job building upon the mechanics in GH. Keep up the good work.
