Kinda like the new Samsung LCD's that use LEDs. Samsung advertises that they have a 500,000:1 contrast ratio. When I first saw it I did a double take, lol.

Hahahaha well I tried to look for a signature that matched my avatar, and this is what I found. It is the best signature ever, period.

1) 1080p to even be considered
2) Response time under 4
3) x.v.color
4) 10,000 to 1 contrast
5) HDMI 1.3
6) 120hz a must for LCD
7) 1080p/24 for movies

Can someone show some links of one HDTV that meet all the requirements above? I believe there isn't any HDTV that has them all.

There is something I don't clearly understand, does 120hz have to do with the response time?

EDIT: AND IT'S ONLY $1300 AND 42"!! |
That's the one I got 'cept I paid $1050 for it... Awesome TV and it has one more feature that I feel is important: user upgradeable firmware. Download to a USB and plug it into the side of the set...

Not really. 120 Hz eliminates the jitter associated with displaying a 24 fps movie in progressive scan at 60 Hz. Because 60 is not evenly divisible by 24, on most TVs, you see one frame for 1/20 of a second, then the next for 1/30 of a second, then the next for 1/20 of a second, and so on. This creates a noticeable jitter on a large progressive scan display, especially in scenes with fast motion. On a 120 Hz display, every frame is shown for 1/24 of a second.
I didn't think 120 Hz would be worth it until I saw a side by side comparison. It is.
1)Contrast ratio (*REAL* contrast ratio - not "dynamic" contrast ratio)
1)Response time
1)Resolution (all three of these are equal priority - they must all be acceptable)
2)Black level
3)Size
4)Inputs
5)Everything else

Read reviews..Going into a store to compare is useless in most cases. The sets in the stores are not configured correctly, the lighting in the room is glaring and in most cases you can't bring your own material to do a comparison.
The more reviews you read - the better buying decision you'll make. As easy as that.
I used to think Full-HD (1080p) was important when its really not.
My tip right off the bat is a Panasonic plasma. Burn-ins is almost impossible and they come in 1080p nowadays if you really wanna pay the premium.
