Yes. Yes it is.
But I would prefer to call it The Prettiest Game Ever.

Thanks, it is all part of my plan to keep people from thinking I am a biased fanboy.
First console under my name is PS3, the game I am looking forward to the most is PS3, I keep a 360 gamertag in my sig and my avatar has R.O.B.
Now everyone welcomes me with open arms.

Hey guys, IGN have a review of the american version up since yesterday:
9.0 Presentation
An awesome fusion of vintage and contemporary game elements, 3D Dot Game Heroes greatly benefits from a surplus of style.
8.5 Graphics
Sharp 2D sprites with a 3D makeover; some of the most unique and eye-catching visuals around.
6.5 Sound
Old-school, perhaps to a fault; even the greatest tunes can get old on infinite repeat. The sound effects are appropriately awful.
8.5 Gameplay
The cartoonish swordplay is a blast. A tried-and-true combination of exploration and dungeon-crawling, but it achieves a level of "retro" difficulty at times. Warning: May evoke nostalgia.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
You can easily lose 20 hours here or race through it in less than 10. The minigames, character creation and New Game + should keep retro gamers busy until Zelda is available in HD.
8.5
Great OVERALL
(out of 10)

isnt teletext the same reviewer that gave a 4/10 to heavy rain?
therefore I think that that 6/10 is totally unjustified
And Destructoid gave Deadly Premonition a 10/10. I guess sometimes you get a reviewer that gets carried away by a title's certain features.

Which is kinda funny because they gave Shadow Complex and 8 haha.
But I guess until we play it we won't really know. I mean simply copying and using a well-established and great form doesn't equate to perfect setup. Hell it's possible they screwed it up... or did for these guys. Just their opinion anyways. I'm still pretty psyched for it but probably won't pick it up immediately. Especially with Link to the Past on my Virtual console haha. Nah jk.

Largely why I can't blame them too much for their review. They reached the same conclusions as IGN, it's just a matter of them thinking differntly about the same conclusions.
The actual content of the review is standard with the other reviews out there... it's just the score that's different, and I'm not going to criticize someone for a score.

Still makes you wonder.
In that Shadow Complex review they mention how it is very similar to Super Metroid (From the SNES era) and still award it a fairly high score, yet in this situation they praise so many thing about it yet beat it down because it is very similar to A Link From the Past (SNES era).
It just doesn't make sense. One of the cons is that is has very few ideas of it's own, same as the 3DDGH review, yet the score is so vastly different.

Here's the thing I find interesting too.
It seems like, the less copied something is recently, the more likely people are going to complain that people are copying it. You'd expect the opposite to be true.
Which is espeically weird if you LIKE the property I mean me... I'd be PUMPED if someone ripped off the Ogre Battle scheme. Like couldn't be happier because it's only in like 2 games.
