Fastest damage control ever. Seems like they're trying to hide something.

Or they're just annoyed by forum fanboys being forum fanboys and people breaking embargos.

Something like this has probably happened 1000's of times before with other games, and I don't remember the developer ever responding so quickly, or at all to rumours or leaked video comments.

And?

Best graphics on any console so far played em all and this ones special. The lighting alone is enough to take this game to another level putz kz2 lighting to shame. The world looks better than uncharted 2 and the color is better than gears.

Nothing comes close until crysis 2

I know this is off-topic but so far, no game's lighting puts Killzone 2's to shame. ALAN WAKE's is better, yes, but doesn't put KZ2 to shame.

agree

refer to my original post, it's right up there ^ and pretty straight forward.

Are tin foil hats in this season? Why does responding faster than the average dev. about leaked footage make it into a conspiracy that "they're hiding something"?

Seriously, haven't you seen the rumor threads before? If a company says "we don't comment on rumors or speculation" then it's probably not true, but if they try to explain it, then somethings up!

Speaking of damage control lol.

No offense not that it should offend you because you didnt develope the game.Lighting shining through windows stationary and some red lighted eyes reflecting off walls againts full motion lighting on large scales in massive maps i call that putting something to shame.

It makes kz2 seem last gen.

Agree to disagree.

You're being too generous CGI, that statement he made is barking mad.

Yeah it would seem much less suspicious if they remained completely silent on the issue.  Seriously think about what you posted for a minute.  It's a no-win situation with you because lets be honest you'd be saying the exact same thing if that were the case as well.

Not to nitpick, but the thread title is putting in developers' mouths words they did not say, and that can later come to bite back. What they did say is that the extreme degree of screen tearing and the choppy framerate seen in the videos came from the capturing - which I thought was obvious to anyone watching it, but it seems like I'm too nice :)
They don't say that there's "NO screen tear in Alan Wake". Most games have some unless they're triple buffered, after all, and it can be measured objectively (see DF quantitative measures). Still, some kinds of screen tear are less striking to the naked eye than others, so the effect on perceived image quality can be pretty minimal.
