There is a possibility that Conviction will be ported but I doubt Mass Effect will.
Correct me if Im wrong but wasn't the IP owned by Microsoft?

Translation: Microsoft paid us a lot of money to keep it exclusive. At least for a while.
I don't even think most PS3 owners really care enough about this game to want sloppy seconds anyways.

no ,,bioware owns the IP,,,,so in other words EA now owns it.

Well Meta has already gone below AAA...so doubt it..so sales it is :) would be stupid of them to not release ito n the ps3 BUT then again PS3 fans do not care much for hand me downs (as such examples in the past have shown)...they already have a solid line up of great exclusives for the whole year

This is their way of saying "of course it will come out on PS3, just like every splinter cell made it to PS2". I'm fine with waiting 6 months or whatever, I have WAY too many games I haven't finished (up to like 15+) that are all AAA from just the last 6 or 7 months.
Pretty much every single good 360 game comes to the PS3 if it's not named Fable and doesn't star space marines, its just a matter of time. That's more or less the reason I sold my 360 and got a second PS3 for my other TV instead, if it's out and AAA it's either going to be PS3 exclusive (not even on PC) or it's going to be 360 "exclusive" and go to the PS3 a few months later (and even if it doesn't it will almost for sure make it to the PC).

Am I the only one who would prefer a Syphon Filter game over a Splinter Cell game? I prefer SF over MGS or SC and I can already get SCC right now anyways.
I don't think the sales will be that great. Splinter Cell games never really sold like crazy. The 1st Splinter Cell sold over 2m on both the PS2 and Xbox. After that the sales never went over 2m again. Splinter Cell is one off those games that should never be exclusive. It will be on the PS3 soon. I don't plan on buying it either when it do.

Perhaps MS paid for it. Wouldn't be the first time they did something like that.
But this mostly benefits Ubisoft. MS is marketing the shit out of it, the franchise has become relevant again, and Ubisoft is guaranteed to make a shit load of money.

didnt buy it for 360 definitely wont buy it on ps3 , splinter cell was great years and years ago , the franchise is washed up
