Forums - Sales - SHORTAGES???

2 massive releases for PS3 associated games last month (NPD) and it seems Sony fail to capitalise on the opportunity to sell more systems.

Are there really shortages of PS3's out there?

i reckon its somewhat "tight" more than shortages.

Sony, ioi and pretty much every big video game stores have said that the PS3 had shortages in the last weeks.

Aslong as they don't mess up supply for GT5. I think they will be fine.

^^online too?

There was shortages thru christmas until like a few weeks ago.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I still think the shortages were over exaggerated. I remember several online stores had PS3's available in March, and both models. Not sure about in store though as I but 99% of my games online nowadays. PS3s were hard to get perhaps, but not impossible, or near impossible as was the case for the Wii from 2006-2008.

There is a desire, this late in the cycle, to believe a single game release, or a few, will result in a large spike in sales.
