Just wait till you get to luigis purple coin challenge on the toy galaxy. Thats the point at which I thought that this was one super game to possibly the best game ever made.

Just go for the purple coins with long jumps (8-9 purple coins each). Next go for the 5 near some edges that are together. Eventually, (I did it after 20-30 times) you'll get the star.
