Anyone watching? I thought I would make a trhead so people can discuss it live.

Here's a link to watch it live... It may or may not work, I can't guarantee anything.

Yeah watching it now. I was a little underwhelmed by the manifesto launches so hopefully tonight will be a little more interesting.

On the first topic, immigration, I'm giving the victory to Nick Clegg.

Clegg dominated the immigration issue. Everyone keeps saying he has no chance at winning the election, but he might be able to prove himself a force tonight.

However, I have a feeling that Brown will win the debate over all... I'll probably wrong on that though.

Opening statemets.

Clegg: Unbelievable and very insincere... sickly.

Brown: We've heard it all before.. i saved thwe world from global meltdown.. yeah sure Browny!

Cameron: Not saying much... banking on Brown messing things up and winning by default.

The sad thing is people seem to want to vote for based solely on the fact that he's not Gordon Brown.

Brown: Immigration is fine basically.  Doesnt wanty a cap, current rules are beginning to work. bull.

Cameron: Immigration is too high (no shit).  Points system and limits, new countries into EU - transitional limits.  seems ok.  Wants limits and caps.  Border Police force (hallelujah)

Clegg: Chaos at the moment,  monitor exit controls..?!  Immigrants can only go to regions where they can be accomodated.. (terrible idea and untterly unworkable!!!).  There is good immigraton and bad immigration... we need immigrant skills and therefore no caps and carry on.

How the hell can you have regional immigration... allowed in sent to a region... what is to stop them moving... its all one country?

He said regional employment, not regional living didn't he? I think regional employment is a feasible idea.

Well I know they manage it in Australia (and apparantly Canada too according to Clegg). Presumably Visas will be granted based on the area where the job is actually requiring that skill or perhaps more so that the area in question can actually accommodate more immigration. The incentive to stay is that they have a job there and according to Clegg won't be allowed to work elsewhere.

A cap on immigration would be a nightmare, especially if international students were included in this. It could be financial ruin for universities.

Still no deal, think it's the same reason Hulu doesn't work for you guys.  Ah well. Let me know who wins.  You seem rather undecided as of yet.

Law and Order

Cameron: Reduce beureaucracy and get police on the beat

Clegg: as cameron, plus educate ferrel youths?

Brown: No problem, police are now on the street enough (where!?), parents need to get a grip.

Brown hasnt got a clue here, Cameron and Clegg seem to agree.

Cameron and Clegg draw, Brown loses.

I'm sensing a pattern in Brown's responses, apparently everything is fine in all areas!

Police on the beat is always a bit of a populous policy. Extra beat policy don't really prevent crime, the public just think that they are safer. The beureaucracy needs to go along with ridiculous targets so that police can get on with their job and deal with crime as they see fit without the worry of having to make 'quick' cases just to hit targets.
