Don't be hating. The ones who only care about shooting the living s**t out of other people are few and far in between, most still care about the storyline, the multiplayer component and some even go as far as to care about graphics. The Halo 3 was released in 2007, it is not surprising that the graphics are going to be pootang by now, in the industry where a year old game is considered to be graphically outdated, only few gems manage to survive the graphical onslaught and remain the top of the food chain.

Halo 1 and 2 stories were well done, the third not so. I have only purchased the third as I have liked first and second, your prejudice against the Xbox fanbase would indicate your ignorance on the matter. Well done and all for having an opinion, but it just seems a bit more biased in direction of Sony. I could go ahead and proclaim that all Sony owners are assholes, but I know that is untrue as I have a fair bit of well charactered and good opinionated ones and we often agreed on a thing or two or even had friendly banter.

MS uses a lot of money on their campaigns. They'll hire movie stars to hype stuff and a lot of their games are more or less on par in quality with PS3 exclusives. Sony sells mainly on quality as opposed to paying companies off.

ok. i've read enough! at the end of the day it all comes down to the market we're in! so i'll talk about the U.S.! 8m unit difference seems to account for alot! and as a ps3 gamer im going to throw down a small exsplosive for you. ps3 gamers just arn't there. i havn't bought 1 fps game this gen! and i havn't bought one game on this list. most ps3 gamers still havn't bought a ps3 yet. its true that we are all spread out over several genres. can anyone on here tell me five shooters that sold more than 5m on ps2. if you can start a thread and post them. as a matter of fact i only have three games for my ps3 and not one of them is on this list. ps3 gamers are still at that stage of (i plan to buy these games i just can't do it now). yep. thats me. sounds just like me. ps3!

Those 3 X360 exclusives you pointed out have had HUGE ad campaigns,you can't compare them to Uncharted nor Resistance

I don't think you're going to like the answer .......... but this is why:

People are dumb asses, and most dumb asses own Gears of War.

That is just taking it to the whole new level.

Never seen someone as big of a Douche, but then again I am not "hip" enough to camp outside the store to get the game 1 minute after the official release. Whether you have played it or not, Gears is an amazing game - or it was back in it's hayday, but after all, each to their own.

You also forgot to include MGS4,that sold pretty decent compared to Gears of War 2
Also,GT5 is on its way to outsell both Gears of War 1 and 2
I also expect Uncharted 2 to sell around 5.5 mil LIFETIME
GT5P outsold Fable III,God of War 3 outsold ME2 and its on it's way to outsell Forza 3

So in the end,PS3 exclusives aren't selling that ''badly'' compared to 360 exclusives

Yeah by the way GT5 isn't coming for quite some time yet, without the official release date it is not even certain that it will be sometime this year, so gears are pretty confidently nudged in that spot. Fable II(Not III :P) was nowhere as hyped as it could have been, it was good.. But buggy good, the game just wasn't that good. I would cast an assumption has GT5P was brought as sort of a "Loyalty brand", GT has a VAST fan base worldwide whereas Fable.. Well let's just say NOWHERE as big. GOW was bound to outsell ME2, again, massive fanbase. Forza was a flop imho, I didn't really like it but it's the best 360 has to offer up against GT.

They are doing pretty well and I do not deny that some of them are great, but the main reason is that all of them have already well established fan base carried on from PS1 and 2.
