Forums - Sony - Without a doubt in my mind Kratos would annihilate Link.

The fact that you think there are "sides" in this discussion letsdance, pretty much explains why you can't grasp that Kratos is ungodly outmatched.

You just want to be on Kratos side. Khuurtra and I aren't on any "side" we are looking at the data neutrally and arriving at a winner.

Oh it was obvious Khuutra was biased from the begining. That I have no doubt with. Also, you guys are arguing with facts you really don't have.  So no... you aren't just lookin at the data. You assume link would use one wish (We only know for a fact there is on wish granted. We don't know if there is more) To kill Kratos... A man he has never met. You assume Master Sword > Blade of Olympus. You assume Link would get an oppertunity to use the weapons.

I repeat again.  Phanton Hourglass link can STOP TIME.

There are so many just outright dues ex machina powers Link has it's bullshit.

Again... you are assuming Link would have the oppertunity to use this object. He can stop time in LoZ too.

Anyway to be clear... are you electing use that sword over the master sword? The main sword in the series? The sword that is the main weapon against evil forces?

It's not a sword that stops time in Phantom Hourglass.

since this is still going on I thought I'd ask a question in any legend of zelda games are there things that can turn link to stone? if so does it cause any damage or just freeze him for a bit and if there is is there an item that blocks it?

You mean like Medusa's Head from God of War?

Couldn't Kratos just use the head from the start, blind Link then snap his little neck?

Exactly... they think Link uses his items instantaneous but I doub't link would have enough time to reach in his bag a goodies and select a weapon. Also... I would think Link would try and use his sword and shield... his most commonly used weapon... his most efficient weapon for him... his most comfortable weapon to him... Why would link look at Kratos and automatically assume "I should pull out my cape and put it on" Even if he does its assuming he has enough time to use it. Rather than trying a sword and shield first like he typically does. Also... this fight would benifit more if link took less items to fight with. Kratos has the tendancy of taking things he finds usefull and using them against his oppenants.

You still haven't presented a single scenario where Kratos would kill Link that doesn't come down to "Kratos would kick off Link's head because he's more awesome". That's been your entire argument - an assumption that Kratos would be able to out-grapple Link with no particular reason to think that he can do this right off the bat.

yes because it's not the turing to stone that damages kratos or the enemies it's when you destroy it.  Also when Kratos is stone can't use magic so you could figure that rule would work on Link as well.  But if Link can have an item that blocks being turned to stone the point is moot

Well, nothing petrifies you in Zelda games (Zelda's turned to stone at one point but that's because of something else), but Link has the Mirror Shield, which has been known to reflect Medusa's Gaze back....

Dunno. Does it work on humanoid bosses? Can Perseus block it with his mirror shield?

never tried useing it on him with unlimited magic to find out

so then again even if it did work it would take time to happen on Link so unlessLink just sits there he'd probably get out of range or try and stop the attack

I guess we could give it a try, but I have a feeling that he can block it
