Forums - Sony - Without a doubt in my mind Kratos would annihilate Link.

For link to hit kratos wouldn't he have to will whatever body part he wants to hit with to become solid? Because if not the whole argument just fails.

And if, lets say his hand, becomes solid and kratos blade is where link was aiming for that would hurt link.

To be honest I haven't played either but your argument just seems so unrealistic.

You have a Warmachine avatar.  Therefore you should be familiar with the Vision.  Vision is constantly damaging people while they can't hit him... with semitangiable hands that the other person can't do crap about unless they have some sort of energy attack.

Warmachine =/= Link.

BTW - the item description of the Cape does not say he can't be hit just because the devs didn't add in damage doesn't mean thats how it works. The reason why Khuutra has been full of double standards this whole thread... that is untill he admits Link wins because the devs made it so that Kratos can only stay on the path so once Kratos flys or touches out of bounds he is automatically dead

Warmachine =/= link?  So your not even reading anyones posts anymore then?

You need to calm down, take a deep breath, and do more research into a franchise you claim you love.

The cape doesn't even matter... thought that IS how it works and has nothing to do wth the devs.  All link needs is the Triforce.  It's basically Kratos "hope" powers... but stronger.

Afterall they had to specifically put in the intangibility.  It's not somethign that was left out... it was something specifically put in.

Rol - youre lucky. I was going to take a picture of my wii, snes, and 64 with gold plated ocarina of time, majoras mask, twilight princess, and link to the past. but my camera is dead.

I've never seen link get the triforce. Yes, they put in intangibility... what I'm arguing is they didn't take it out when he attacks. Just like the bombs.

Also, I have no clue how you are comparing the power of the triforce to Kratos. I've never seen the triforce do anything spectacular except shine on the backhand.

Ok... here's a developer lesson.

There are these things called "hit boxes" these decide if your hit or not.  This is why, back in the day often times you'd get hit before you got hit.  Your hitbox was extended.

The hit boxes are are done a frame by frame basis.  Which is why, ducking mario doesn't get hit by objects that would hit standing mario.  His hitbox is smaller.

This means, that they had to delibritly take out the hitboxes for "cloaked and swinging" link.

It wasn't an oversite.  It was deliberate.

Khuutra: Thank you ever so much for your contributions to this thread! I love reading this kind of stuff, and I'm not talking about the useless quibber over what character can beat whom. I have had a great time watching your total manhandeling in this thread. I know you probably realized 30 pages ago or more that you had the opponent outclassed and the joy of debating just isn't the same when there is no contest, still thanks for riding it out. It's been a true joy to read.

letsdance: You have no idea of how badly you have been outperformed in this 'debate'. I hope at least the vgc bucks turns out to be worth it.

letsdance, I bought and still own Gran Turismo 2 and completed it three or four times. Does that make me a fan of the series?

Besides, you already admitted that you only finished three out of the six or seven Zelda games you played. Since Link's strongest powers can only be seen at the end of the games, there are huge holes in your knowledge about the series.

I beat the game boy color one... that was years and years ago though. I beat Ocarina of time, Majoras mask, and legend of zelda. I'm at the castle in Twilight Princess. Thats 4 and almost 5. And you say GT2... so you play one game out of 8 and you are trying to compare it to me?

And what would happen when the player would swing the sword while in a wall and a hit box reappears? A wall... something that deals no damage...

If i ignored logic and was full of double standards and never acknowledge things that defeat my arguement I could out argue people too.

Even in the situation Khuutra outlines kratos wins... but he refuses to believe Kratos would just dodge and out perform everything link could throw at him till his magic runs out. He says "no the guy cant see Link" be links shadow is still there... so yes.. he could... but when that was brought up he ignored it. I don't know why you guys are comending Khuutra... He is doing exactly what I'm doing but I'm doing it to make a point how ignorant Khuutra is being. When I say "No Kratos wins" I'm doing it because thats what Khuutra is doing.

If they put in hitboxes?  He wouldn't be able to move until the sword movement stopped.  Nothing big.  Once the sword swing stopped, his hitbox would disapear again and he'd be free to move.
