it's hardly a "gaming" thing.

the word "Killer" had been used in many other industries, look no further than "IPHONE-killer".   When there is something dominating, there will always be potential "killers"

"Windows killer" is probably my favorite, and that has been used fo years.

I agree this game looks impressive by itself, but no mather how much content you add you cannotmatch the mario x controls, little big planet proved it.

Even I belive this vs. Mario Kart Wii in reviews will be like nsmbwii vs. lbp:

nsmbw gameplay >> all
lbp polish and content >>> more than all

Well, until ModNation is available on the Wii, or Mario Kart is available on the PS3, they really aren't competing directly with each other at all.
That being said, it looks like a fun, quality game, but sales-wise it will likely follow a similar path as LittleBigPlanet did to NSMBWii.
Not that LittleBigPlanet was a failure by any stretch, it's just hard for anyone to directly compete against the 800lb. gorilla that is Mario. And the less frequently it's brought up, the better.

Was thinking the exact same thing.  People just do that to rile up others like when they say Halo killer or GT killer when having new or smaller titles compared to the larger ones.  Games can be good on their own merit, and to unpopular belief, two very similar games can be good in their own respect without any discredit to either as individual games.
