I do think the 8.8 was due to the "Wii penalty".

So ken your saying it's really a 9.8, now that makes perfect sense.

I'm really not surprised at this score. Red Steel 2 reviews proved to me that there certainly is a bias against Wii games, and the 7/10 given by ntscUK reaffirms it even more. I'm also expecting GiantBomb and 1Up to also give it a score less than it deserves.

Reading this thread, I think it's more publicity for the reviewing firm than the game. =/

Such a persecution complex.  I like how nobody mentions this is their highest score for a Monster Hunter game ever.

Not according to the scores.  This is one of the most hardcore games out there.
