This is without counting Kh:bbs since I am sure most of us haven't played it yet.My vote goes to chain of memories it was the most fun for me I have played Com,358/2 and II.Waiting for I's remake.

Since I can't honstely put Chain of Memories, Coded, or 358/2 Days over the main entries in the series, I'd say the best game of the main two is the first. There were new things in the first game that I'd discover even after playing through it 4 times. The sense of exploration in the first game that I loved wasn't carried over into the second where all the item chests and enemies were clearly shown to you in plain sight with little depth. I also felt the original game's story was far less convoluted, even among Kingdom Hearts standards. For Gummi ships I can't decide which game's version I prefer. I felt both were terrible honestly. I liked the idea of Reaction commands in the second game, but I wish they were executed better than having a giant green triangle in my face. Maybe have me have to manually watch the enemy and look for certain movements they make so it wasn't so obvious. And that's my main complaint with the second game I suppose. Everything was obvious.

Kingdom Hearts 1 for story, Kingdom Hearts 2 for gameplay.

Guys anyone disliked the camera for the first one?That was one main issue which I had when I borrowed my friend's copy.

my favorite is Birth By Sleep, it is fun and also you can choose between 3 characters. also the online mechanics are a good addition.

Kingdom Hearts II is my favorite. Gameplay was solid, camera didn't suck like it did in KH1, gummi ships were actually fun this time around, etc.

Runner-up is Kingdom Hearts I; I don't really like this game because of the awful camera and controls. Sometimes I wonder how I even managed to finish this game. Anyways, the only thing I liked about this game was the story. KH1's story is the best in the series, imo. Everything became a huge clusterfuck after that.

As for 358/2 Days and Re-Chain of Memories, didn't like them.

Kingdom Hearts II was a shit story to begin with, but it was my favorite experience nonetheless.

Com & 358 days are just inferior gameplay rehashes, best part about them is the cutscenes.
