While FF12 was good I would prefer it if the main FF franchise stayed in the hands of Team FFX.

And the music, wasn't by Himizu or Uematsu. (besides the title track.) I want Uematsu  back possibly with himizu Although I would want no different soundtrack than the soundtrack FFXIII got for it.

Well, Vaan looked like tidus, and Ashe Looked like Yuna... The story was actually... Good, not Extraordinary, it was just paced like a turtle.. But the director said the staff was conflicted because it was mixed between Playonline staff and others.


The battle system, was brilliant to me atleast... beings im an engineering student you just created basic conditions. The problem to me is it didn't look flashy, but hey, Dragon Age modified their battlesystem with what FFXII did and I liked it. I didn't play dragon age on ps3 and I heard that it ran like turd.

And RPG's I want to add but can't is

Vagrant Story
Dark Cloud 2 (does that count)
Xenosaga

lulz its Hamauzu.

Anyway apparently balthier was gonna be the main character initially, but they thought making Vaan the main character would make FF12 appeal to more people.

I would be interested to see how it would turn out if Balthier was the main character, for sure balthier was awesome.

I didn't like Dragon Age too much, people call JRPG's cliched, but Dragon Age is the king of cliche!

Yeah I don't know why I spelt it wrong I'm listening to the soundtrack :P....

Well my main problem was Vaan after the first couple hours... didn't do anything and penelo was the damnsel in distress once. I thought if Balthier or Ashe (who basically was the main character) would have been better, especially balthier, because he was the most fleshed out character IMO.

Dragon Age was a good Change of Pace, because you get to select what you say to them I just don't like having a silent character. But you can pick your love interest. Although, you can do it with $ :P, and Morrigan Is awesome. Morrigan is why I liked the game :P

Matsuno getting ill & leaving also led to lots of confusion, its like the leader left. Thats why Sakaguchi claims he didn't play FF12 past the intro screen as matsuno left during it. Thats also why the game got delayed too.

I like morrigan too, but to make her like you meant almost everyone else had to hate you!!!!!!

I went into Dragon Age hoping for an oblivion type experience, and what I got was something completely different. I hope they make an ELder SCrolls V soon its overdue!

Dark Brotherhood was awesome!

Yeah I think, the story/character development was bad because of that... I don't understand How it was percieved by some as the best story, yet the director admitted it wasn't what he wanted. I guess, it was a safer story *shrugs*

yes but that was fun you get to be this witches slave and thats hot! err nvm.

I read somewhere it's going to be an Elder Scrolls MMO FTL, but yeah, theres no game like oblivion other than fallout 3. Which I love but is Oblivion with guns with vats.

did you play fallout 3?

Darth mate I loved FF XII. In fact, I love every Final Fantasy game I've bought that includes 7, 8, 10, X-2, 12, Dissidia and 13.

 

I personally don't understand why many people hate FF XII. Vaan and Ashe were good characters, gameplay was good, music was fantastic and overall environments were all beautiful.

I think hate is a strong word. That people use innapropriatly... I think people use hate for something that they didn't want it to be.

I know I'm not darth. But my main problem with it was the admission the director (or producer someone important) said the story wasn't up to his standards

and that's how I felt, so I felt how the director felt. Like, Final Fantasy Stories have flaws in them, but for me there was still something missing in them that was more that was different from a flaw.... i dunno how to describe thats just me tho

It's a very good game. It just didn't have any of the wow moments that final fantasy usually have a couple of.
So when people say they hate it. I think they're being to extravagent. Such as the people that say they hate FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFXII etc

Yeh I'm with ya on that. People do use the word "hate" too easily. It's more like "Don't Like" but they just use the word "Hate".

And yeh story wasn't a spectacular one but that didn't bother me too much coz for me gameplay is most important. If I don't like the gameplay then there's no point in continuing to play the game.
