Some of you guys need to rethink your predictions. After the crow serving from Uncharted 2, LBP, & HEAVY RAIN, this "if it's lucky" nonsense needs to be reconsidered.

1.5 million LTD is more realistic than your 6 million LTD predicition!!!!!

Um, show me where I predicted it to sell 6 million.

Does it have items that are similar to the ones in Mario Kart?...like the green/red/blue shells, bananas, bombs, etc...also, in Mario Kart you can hold bananas, shells, etc.. to protect you....can you do that in Modnation Racers?

Now I see why you kept arguing with me in my thread about Mario Kart involving skill.  You had an agenda.

The online component for Mario Kart is extremely strong.  You must have played SSBB and mistaken it for Mario Kart.

 To me, it feels like MK was easily put together, it could have been MUCH more. MNR is a game that is doing something new, thats why i loved double dash so much. And i dont think i ever said MK was a weak online. I am simply stating that MNR should have a strong online and fast loading, because that seems to be its only downfall at the moment (because of the beta). And for the record, i still think it involves luck, just like MNR will for the most part i am guessing (i have not played the beta). And there is nothing wrong with that.

What i've discovered so far:

 

Rockets level 1: straight ahead,bounces off walls

Rockets level 2 => multiple rockets, hones in on the one before you

Rockets level 3 => huge rocket storm, attacks everyone in front of you

 

Sonic boom 1 => small shockwave around you

Sonic boom 2 => three shockwave balls you shoot out in front of you to attack nearby enemies

sonic boom 3 => sonic blast that travels all the way to the front, attacking everyone

 

Lightning 1= acts like rockets 1

lightning 2 = acts like rockets 2

Lightning 3 = lightning storm that attacks everyone

 

Green arrow 1 => temp boost

green arrow 2 => major boost

Green arrow 3 => "back to the future"style boost that propels you forward a huge part of the terrain (drawback: anyone behind you entering your slipstream will follow through ^^)

 

All those tricks have "mine"-variations that you can drop behind you.

 

Sideswiping an enemy (crashing sideways) will take away ONE level from his trick, and add it to yours (insanely fun when he is about to use green arrow 3 :p)

You can hear the power-up coming your way if you are attacked with a small indicator what kind of trick it is.You can then use boost (built up by attacking, drifting, drafting) to summon a shield if you want.

Attacks will also blast away any mines they pass, clearing the field.

 

Attacking with level 1 = incapacitate someone

attacking with level 2 = incapacitate someone + his attacks drop one level

attacking with level 3 = incapacitate someone (usually more than one) + his attacks are lost completely

 

 

There's probably more, but I'm discovering more as I go and I've been playing quite a lot tbh.

I'm not sure about that, LBP sackboys were cute, had personality, the mods in MNR are plain and generic, plus the game was full of bugs and the framerate/load times was extremely poor. I expect MK to have a higher meta and better quality than MNR. Sales of course MK will trump it but we already knew that.
