So now the price is almost the same, a lot of poeple have HD now, game librery is pretty much equivalent, and ps3 hardware is more reliable, yet , the ps3 hasnt been able to sell as much more over the 360 as when the 360 sells more than the ps3 (weekly sells gap is small when the ps3 sells more). I dont live in USA so i would like to know, is it because most people have the same consoles as their friends? is it because you can pirate games? i would like to know

The PS3 HAS been outselling the 360 in NA in the past two weeks :)

Xbox 360 is actually cheaper to buy if you include the walmart deals etc...

Even with full supply they would be selling equally in NA.

Resons include:
- online community:you want to play games with your buddies and a lot more people have a 360 in NA than PS3
- Arcade system is 199
- Greater library of older games for less $$$
- Future 360 game releases more appealing to NA crowd

Also, you seem to be overestimating the superiority of the PS3, compared to 360. Sure it has bluray and wifi but those alone dont provide fun. Games do...

God of War 3 is one of the first PS3 exclusive games where a lot of my "North American" friends said "Damn I wish I had a PS3".

well the thing is the 360 is more popular in NA for many reasons.

The 360 came 1 year earlier it ain't much of a factor but when everyone saw that the PS3 was at a high price must of the people got a wii/360 instead. If the 360 wasn't their they would have probably waited and bought it before the launch of the 360.

Most of the gamers in NA love shooters, the bigger percentage are shooter fans. The 360's exclusives include a lot of shooters. Halo, gears of war, alan wake, crackdown and many others, those games are not all FPS games but you still shoot. While for PS3 you have kill zone, resistance, mag, MGS4, and uncharted. The 360 has more popular and more shooter games.
