Forums - Nintendo - NBA JAM needs online

Im really hyped about this game but i really think EA should include online play it would be awesome playing people from all around the world, i read i think it was an IGN review and it said EA havent ruled out online but currently has not been included in the game, does anyone think it will be added to the game before release?

im hyped about this game as well and i reckon it should have some sort of online.. atleast add more replay value then it already has

Come on EA get it in the game its what the NBA JAM fanbase want, the game should do well in the states im not sure how it will do in others

The sad thing is, would this be a $8 XBLA game it would feature multiple online modes, but as a $50 Wii game it will not.

Not saying it should be XBLA, but how can you expect people buying this overpriced shit? Come on EA!

PS3 still the best for me.^_^

uhh.. Wrong topic?

Anyway, I REALLY hope this game has online, I would almost definitly buy it if it did. If not I will probably pass, that is unless it's a budget price like 30 bucks.

do we even know if this is a retail title? I was under the impression it was a WiiWare title like Mega Man.

For $10-15 WiiWare I'd probably purchase it. For even $30 on a disc it would have to be an amazing game including online. At first I was going to say it doesn't need online, but if it's retail it does.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

If this gives me, let's say 80 to 100 hours of fun with my friends, and Red Steel 2 or God of War 3 gives me about 15 to 20 hours of fun solo, which one is overpriced?

It all depends on your perspective.

I haven't mentioned Red Steel or God of War in my post, as those are irrelevant to this topic. Those are singleplayer games. NBA Jam is a multiplayer game, which needs online to justify the $50 pricetag for a lot of people.

95% of all XBLA multiplayer games offer offline and online multiplayer, and those are around $8 - $10 per game. So why can't a $50 retail Wii game?

@Nordlead: yes, it's confirmed to be a retail release.
