The first motion control was a Stick, and people used it to push a Hoop!

And they already copied Ula, the inventor of the Wheel!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

There are innovators and copiers. That's how the world works.
In some\most cases the copied product is far superior to the original.

Take a look around your world and ask yourself who was the original manufacturer (the source of the idea) of all the products you see. How many of these original brands do you now see?

Are you currently reading these forums using Windows on a laptop? Ask yourself who innovated the graphical OS and the laptop form design.

As someone mentioned when a company an individual loves copies then it is good clever business.

When a company they hate does similar it's a crime punishable by death.

Hyprocrites are a dozen a penny.

Nintendo copied Armor Project, who made a Motion Controlled Dragon Quest game back in 2003 before Sony or Nintendo ever did.  Which in turn, Armor Project is now Producing all their Dragon Quest games on DS/Wii today, including a sequel to their original Drago nQuest motion controlled game on Wii.

Conspiracy?  Coincidence?  Inspiration?

Probably an isolated insolent.  If you couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic when I said Nintendo copied Armor Project.

no cuz nintendo always had the power glove if you are still forgeting. It had a censor to put around the tv. watch the avgn: power glove and you'll see or youtube it or google.

the power glove was not even Nintendo's it was Mattel's.

Mattel licensed it for use with.

the point is many companies have many of the same IDEA's quite a many time's they may be working on them at the same time, it's just one of the companies get their's out first before the other's get their's out.

Sorry but the EyeToy was not Garbage and they never gave up on it seeing as it is still bieng sold to Date, and anyways how can the eyetoy be garbage when has sold 10million units. And Nintendo i would say did copy playstation with motion controls because before anyone knew about the Wii Sony showed a tech demo of the Sixaxis Controller, although the Wii is using about half of that in there controllers.

IMO Sony has been Copied for so long im suprised that they really havent copied others tech, until recently with Move(really the Wii HD).

Wow i didnt know the eye toy sold that well.

I Hate the fact that all these pillows are contaminated by retard!!

When Microsoft copies: "Oh look, Microsoft is up to its old tricks."

When Sony copies: "Shame on you Sony. Be more original like Nintendo."

When Nintendo copies: "Everyone copies someone at some point. It's normal."

I completely agree, to me it seems like people only rag on Sony for coping, or doing something similar to other companies. Look at both the original and the xbox 360 controllers, they are basically copies of the dreamcast and dualshock controllers respectively, but most ppl especially 360 users say microsoft simply improved on those controllers. I wouldnt care as much is 360 users didnt rag on sony for implemeting things currently on the 360 and wii, but move is imo a ripoff of the wiimote but if its better idc.

it's amazing is not it how much we all forget over time, and to be honest sports games was done on eyetoy before wii, so who's to say nintendo did not nick those ideas for wii sports??

Very true, most ppl dont know that xerox were the ones to invent the mouse and revolutionize all computers and microsoft and apple simply  purchased their ideas and designs because their company heads were retarded, and had no vision. Also the first OS used, imployed and sold by microsoft wasnt one they even made they bought it from some guy for 50k and made a killing off of it, no originality there, just good business sense.

Sega copied the Nes' Controller in the 80s.

Big deal!
